Red Lodge

The Red Lodge is an impressive handcrafted log home design created for those who want generous gathering spaces, private suite-style accommodations, and a dramatic mountain-home presence. With its wide covered decks, soaring central living area, and carefully proportioned lodge-style exterior, this plan is well suited for destination properties, large family retreats, rental lodges, or homes designed for hosting.

The main floor is organized around an open central living space, with the kitchen, dining area, and great room arranged for easy movement and natural connection. Expansive covered decks extend the living space outdoors, creating multiple places to relax, entertain, and take in the surrounding views. Two large master suites are positioned on opposite sides of the main level, giving each suite privacy while keeping both close to the heart of the home.

The upper floor adds four additional bedroom suites, arranged around open-to-below spaces that overlook the main living areas. This gives the home a grand interior feel while allowing the upper level to remain connected to the activity below. The layout is especially well suited for guests, extended family, or lodge-style use where each bedroom benefits from its own defined space and nearby bathroom access.

The basement level expands the home’s function even further, with two additional bedroom suites, a recreation room, mechanical space, covered patio access, and a large garage. This lower level makes the Red Lodge a strong choice for sloped building sites, where the home can take advantage of a walk-out basement while preserving practical storage, parking, and flexible living space.

From the exterior, the Red Lodge has a strong handcrafted character, with bold rooflines, log detailing, covered outdoor living areas, and a prominent central front elevation. All of our plans are available in Western Red Cedar or Douglas Fir, with optional Flared Character Logs for added visual impact. We also offer four handcrafted building styles to suit your design vision: Full Scribe, Dovetail, Post & Beam, and Timber Frame.
