The log shell has been completed and the contractor has begun the final phase of construction. We can’t wait to see this beautiful home completed!

Here is a great view of the joist system for the loft as well, the Western Red Cedar character features at the Main Entrance and the log rafters for the home’s covered porch which encircles the entire building. (You can see a closer view of the Main Entrance in the photo for August 15th.)

One of our skilled builders is performing the exacting work of cutting a corner notch on one of the impressive Western Red Cedar character logs that will make up the home.

Our builders have started handcrafting the first few rounds and already we can see the character of the Western Red Cedar wood that will go into this log home. In this photo you can see the completed lateral cut and notching as well as the slings placed so the log can be lifted and put into it’s place. (These slings will stay on the log for disassembly, shipping and reassembly on site.)
