This is one of our favorite times: to see a custom designed Western Red Cedar log shell package assembled on our client’s site! We understand what it takes to build a beautiful log home. Think about it: only the skeleton is complete, and already it has an incredible visual presence. Now, the general contractor will complete the home. We’re really looking forward to seeing the homeowners move in!
Located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, this incredible Western Red Cedar Log Home allows for over 10,000 square feet of living space and was built using 16″ to 17″ mean diameter Logs in the Walls, Posts, Beams, Joists and Purlins and Trusses; 18” to 20” mean diameter Logs for the Ridge Beam & Purlins; a 24” mean diameter Ridge Beam for the Main Roof; and 18” to 24” mean diameter Specialty Feature Character posts throughout the building. The drone photographs give an excellent view of the building’s layout. The center of the home shows 4 Handcrafted Western Red Cedar Log Trusses with Character. The open center area has a height of over 19 feet. Moving through this area looking up these grand features will be just amazing!
