Western Red Cedar Character Logs

This beautiful home has plenty of Western Red Cedar character logs throughout the floor plan, including massive, flared butt logs for the corners of the handcrafted stacked log walls, five character log posts, and flared ridge beams and purlins in the roof. The massive character of Western Red Cedar is on full display with butts as large as 36 inches in diameter!

The large open ceiling living / dining area of the Tettegouche boasts seven large windows looking out onto a large, covered deck and the scenery beyond. The deck is accessed by walking through a screened porch on the eave side opposite the driveway. This design feature allows your family and guests to be protected from small airborne critters during dinner but also to be able to sit out in the open to enjoy the scenery unobstructed.

A Cozy Loft

On the driveway side of the home, there is a small, covered porch, with the bathroom close by and a small hallway leading into the kitchen. The upstairs loft is accessed from the living room by means of beautiful handcrafted Western Red Cedar stairs and railings. The loft itself has one large bedroom with a porch as well as two sleeping nooks – one sized for a queen bed and the other for a bunk bed. This layout is ideal for a young family or a couple with some guests!
